Company History
One Step Ahead Entertainment was formed in 2006 after Avinash Gandhi and Matthew Eisen recognized the need for quality music entertainment on the Yale University campus. DJ Anima (Avinash Gandhi), one of the most respected disc jockeys in Northern California wanted to bring his talents to the East Coast and has debuted in New Haven with a splash. He has worked to train DJ Ice and together the two are dedicated to providing more than just a musical performance, they want to provide a total experience. If it's a party played by One Step Ahead Entertainment, it's going to be a good party, guaranteed. Experience the best sound in Southern Connecticut today!
Customer Testimonials

"I love DJ Avinash, he does a great job of putting songs together and keeping up the energy of the party"  - Anonymous

"The music played at the Yale Freshmen Screw was extremely well recieved by the freshmen class; it was fun, varied, and an exciting change to have a college event hosted by a Yale student DJ. The atmosphere at The Screw was not only energetic but there was an all-around enthusiastic response and a significant turnout, which encouraged the success of the dance."

"Of all the 800 people who heard DJ Avinash play at our dance, I haven't talked to a single one who didn't have an amazing time."
-Harrison Marks '10

"Last Saturday night, Yale freshmen radically broke out of their normal embarrassing escapades, ushering in a new era of well-planned screws, complete with theme and (surprise!) good music. Though normal traditions stood (spending hours getting ready, ridiculous introductions, and pre-gaming enough to forget your date’s name), the superbly planned Freshman Screw departed from the usual. From the pirate décor in Commons to the masterful DJ, every element was cultivated to provide an exhilarating environment conducive to good, old-fashioned Yalie fun—in other words, rhythmic, bacchanalian revelry. All in all, this Screw achieved the goal of all big parties at Yale, leaving people feeling that they’d been anything but screwed over."
